Springtime

I need to apologize to all of you for not posting any recipes in about forever.  Springtime is a crazy time for us, and like every other family we are running on full throttle.  I've been cooking standards lately.  Here is an oldie that the fam loves, but it's a goodie:  hamburger quiche.  I will serve it with green beans & fresh fruit.  It's a favorite dinner of mine because it's easy to double.

Our state was hit very hard by all the tornadoes that came through Wednesday.  There are so many areas that have been devistated.  Please pray for our state.

Y'all be blessed beyond measure,

Remembering

Instead of posting something today.  I am going to send you over to my other blog:  His Words for My Heart.  Today is Good Friday & it is one of the holiest days in the year if you are a follower of Christ.

If you've never made Resurrection Cookies with your children, I highly recommend it.  You will have to make them tomorrow night, because they "cook" overnight.  It is a great way to explain to children the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Praying you all experience the risen Christ this Easter & everyday!

Be blessed because our Redeemer Lives!

WOW...They did it!

160,000

That's kind of a big number.

That number represents how much money Hopson's high school raised for the American Cancer in their Relay for Life.  Our community's Relay is interesting because it's not really for the community, it is done only by the high school.  Their goal was 152K...so wow they beat it by $8000 dollars.

Well done Rebels!  You have made this momma proud.  May your 160,000 be multiplied 10 fold to help to find a cure for this disease that robs so many of so much.

As a child of 2 parents who lost their fight, I thank you.

I have a bunch of recipes to post...but it's a crazy time of  the year.  I'm off to drop off Henry for baseball & then drive dance carpool.  :)  I promise I'll post a plethora of recipes soon!

Enjoy this beautiful weather & y'all be blessed beyond measure,
~ashley
